Ingredients for meatballs:
Peel the onion and cut it into very small cubes. Finely chop the parsley. Fry diced onions in a pan with a little oil, then set aside and let cool a little. Cut stale bread into small pieces and soak in water. Place the ground beef in a bowl, add the sliced onion and parsley. Season with salt and pepper. Add the egg, flour, tomato paste, mustard and spices and knead everything well.
Squeeze the liquid from the jar and knead the bread mixture with the minced meat. If you want, you can also add garlic. Form meatballs from the mixture with your hands. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until brown. After frying, lower the heat a bit so that they don’t get too dark.
Ingredients for Grandma’s Cucumber Salad:
Wash the cucumber and cut/slice thinly with the skin on. Place the cucumber slices in a bowl, season with salt and pepper and leave for about 10 minutes. Then season with vinegar, oil and sugar and add cream. Wash and chop the dill and mix it with the salad at the end.
