Our aromatic Canarian Sausage Pot is the perfect recipe for the cold season. Try it!

Our Canary Sausage Pot is just what you need on a cold autumn day. Treat yourself to this recipe.

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 green pepper
  • 225 g chorizo ​​(Spanish paprika)
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 150 grams of red lentils
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (425 ml)
  • 800 ml vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika, hot as pink
  • sugar 1 can chickpeas (425 ml)
  • 1 tin of white beans (eg cannellini; 425ml each; drained weight: 240g)
  • grated zest and juice of 1 organic orange
  • 200 grams of sour cream
  • To decorate:
  • fresh oregano, if desired

Approximately, per portion:

  • 635 calories
  • 36 grams of fat
  • 42 grams of carbohydrates
  • 31 grams of protein

And it’s done like this:


  1. Peel the onion and garlic and roughly chop both. Wash, clean and chop the peppers and cut the chorizo ​​into slices. Heat the oil in a large saucepan and sauté the chorizo. Add the onion, garlic, paprika and lentils and fry briefly.
  2. Deglaze with tomato and broth. Bring everything to a boil, add salt, pepper, oregano, paprika and a little sugar. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring several times.
  3. Drain, rinse and drain the chickpeas and beans. Add both to the pot and heat through. Stir in the orange peel and juice. Taste the stew again. Garnish with oregano. Serve with sour cream.
